A friend of mine and his wife are leaving for Japan for two weeks so, in his honor, I present to you this rather odd Japanese commercial featuring a singing Red Riding Hood and her animal friends (including one rather special fellow).
As near as I can tell, it's a commercial for an architectural firm. Go figure.

That had me rolling. Asian TV is quite special.
The thing that I love about Japanese pop culture is that there's a weird feedback loop between Japan and the West (as evidenced by the fact that the commercial features Red Riding hood).
My favorite example of this is the Powerpuff Girls. The American cartoon is a hybrid of Hanna-Barbara and Anime influences, which is interesting enough in itself, but it's gotten back to Japan and been turned into PowerPuff Girls Z, which adds a whole new layer of weirdness to the original phenomenon, which was fairly strange to start with.
