I've put up a new poll. The question refers to how links are opened. Some sites will open the link in a new window that will either appear as a pop-up or a new tab (depending on your browser and settings). Other sites will open links in the same window, moving you to a new site.
This link opens in a new window
This link opens in the same window
There are pros and cons to either approach so I'd like to know what you, the readers, would prefer.

I usually prefer links that open new windows, rather than redirecting the window I'm in. Of course, I'm still stuck with dial-up (no high speed in my neck of the woods yet) so I just don't like waiting for an original page to reload if I want to go back and finish reading it.

That is a good point. It easy to forget that there are still people stuck with dial-up. I will take that into consideration when I make my decision.
On the other hand, I prefer links that open in the same window. If I want a different window, I can always right-click on the link and ask that it be opened in a new tab or a new window, giving me the option. But if the link always opens a new window, then I have no choice but to do that.
