Heaven's Ledge

Heaven has become
Infested by humans.

It's God's fault --
That whole salvation and redemption thing,

But you know how God is.

It is not so much
That they trod upon
The Untouched Ground,

Nor is it the litter they spew from themselves
Like an angry hive of filthy bees,

Nor even the fact
That they continue to fight about religion
Even here.

No.

It is because I can not go
To any of Heaven's ledges
Without finding one of them

Pissing into Hell,
Pissing on the damned,

Just to add
Their own, personal contribution
To an already infinite misery.
